Coordinator for the Center Against Violence

We are now looking for a coordinator for a project employment during 2025.

In 2025, the Center Against Violence (CMV) will support eight inland municipalities in their work on violence in close relationships. The position involves working as a coordinator in Skellefteå with a mission to coordinate efforts and strengthen competence in the eight municipalities.

The Social Office is the municipality's largest administration. One of the departments is individual and family care, which works with support for children, young people, and their families. Individual and family care is divided into three operational branches: Child and youth investigations, Adult investigations and enforcement, and Child and youth enforcement.

Within the operational branch for Child and youth enforcement, there is responsibility for preventive measures, where CMV is a part.

CMV is run in collaboration between Skellefteå municipality and Region Västerbotten and offers support to those who live or have lived in close relationships where violence occurs, both adults and children. This can include physical, psychological, or sexual violence.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The coordinator function is part of a pilot project that in 2025 aims to practically test a developed model to jointly support victims of violence and perpetrators in the municipalities of Southern Lapland and Norsjö. The pilot will be led by a project manager with a project group who will also serve as support for you as a coordinator. In your role as a coordinator, you will also receive support from development leaders in violence in close relationships from FoU (Research and Development) within Social Services and Regional Support and Collaboration (RSS) Västerbotten. The position involves close cooperation with staff at the Center Against Violence in Skellefteå.

The job responsibilities include, among other things, advising and mentoring professionals, coordinating contact persons in each municipality, collaborating with healthcare, and offering training and other support based on the municipalities' needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker or has another higher education that we assess as equivalent. You have experience working with issues of violence and treatment in some form. In addition, you have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form. A B driver's license is a requirement.

It is meritorious if you have experience working with violence in close relationships and/or individual conversations with children and/or adults. It is also an advantage if you have experience of authority exercise within individual and family care and/or experience leading group therapy and if you are used to educating or informing.

As a person, you are structured and self-driven, and you prioritize and drive your work forward. For you, it is natural to collaborate with others, and you listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner while maintaining a professional demeanor under pressure and adversity. In addition, you have analytical skills and can solve complex problems and questions.

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

OTHER

The staff at the Social Office provide care, support, and assistance to people throughout Skellefteå. They can be elderly, people with physical or mental disabilities, or individuals and families in need of special support for a period.

Our operations are located throughout the municipality, and we have specialists in several areas of care, support, nutrition, and activation for people with disabilities, addiction treatment, family counseling, and much more.
